What do we know about Oregon State?

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (WRIC) — The Oregon State Beavers are the #7-seed in the West Region. They were also the seventh-best team in the Pac12 Conference, and they are the second-lowest seeded team out of that conference that made the NCAA Tournament field. USC was seeded eighth.

The Beavers feature senior guard Gary Payton II, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton. GP2, as the fans call him, is the Beavers’ leading scorer. Their second leading scorer is Tres Tinkle, son of second-year Head Coach Wayne Tinkle. The younger Tinkle will not play Friday (or Sunday if the Beavers advance) due to a foot injury.

8Sports Director Mitch Carr is in Oklahoma City and will be following the Rams during their run in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament. Follow him on Twitter and look for highlights and reaction from Friday’s game on 8News at 6 and 11.

HAVOC Haven will also live blog the game here in Richmond.
