Hopewell Police searching for suspect in 7-11 robbery

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a robbery Wednesday in Hopewell.

Police say that officers were called to the 7-Eleven at 2014 West Broadway Street around 11:55 p.m. for a reported armed robbery that had just happened.

Investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the convenience store, indicted that he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police described the suspect as a white male, 25 to 30-years-old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, and about 165 to 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey in color hooded Carhartt sweatshirt, blue jeans and brown colored footwear.

The Hopewell Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate.
