15-year-old charged for allegedly brandishing gun near Chesterfield school

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A teen is facing charges after he allegedly brandished a gun near Manchester Middle School on Tuesday.

Police say that it was reported that the 15-year-old brandished a handgun at several victims.

No one was injured. The incident happened after school hours and there were not any school functions going on at the time.

The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with four counts of brandishing a firearm in or around school, one count of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, one count of possession of a firearm on school property and one count of possession of a firearm by persons under the age of 18.

The teen suspect was later arrested at a residence.
