CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va (WRIC) — Sunday, Virginia State Police were on the scene of a single vehicle crash south bound Route 76 and Jahnke Rd in Chesterfield County around 4 p.m.
A 2010 Hyundai was traveling south on Route 76 driving recklessly when it forced a 2005 Mazda off the road to the right causing the Mazda to overturn.
The driver and two passengers of the Mazda were transported to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the 2010 Hyundai continued on and did not stop at the scene.
The investigation led State Police to a residence in Chesterfield County where the driver was taking into custody. The driver, Winfred T. Clark III, 25, of North Chesterfield was charged with DUI, hit and run and reckless driving.
He was transported to the Chesterfield County Jail.
