Henrico Police capture robbery suspect near Williamsburg Road

HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Friday, Henrico Police apprehended a robbery suspect near Williamsburg Road.

Around 3:30 p.m., Friday afternoon, Henrico Police responded to the 4500 block of South Laburnum Avenue for a report of a robbery.

The victim reports they were robbed of a purse and its contents at gun point.

Officers located the suspect’s vehicle a short time later and attempted a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Williamsburg Road.

The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later.  The man was identified as Dayquan Kevon Pittman.

Pittman was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.
