Amber Alert terminated for abducted Fluvanna County toddler

UPDATE: According to the Fluvanna County Sherriff’s Office, Haven Moses has been located and is “safe and unharmed.”


THE VIRGINIA STATE POLICE AND VIRGINIA MISSING CHILDREN CLEARINGHOUSE HAVE ISSUED AN AMBER ALERT FOR A CHILD ABDUCTION ON BEHALF OF THE Fluvanna County Sheriffs Office IN Scottsville ON 02/06/2016 AT 08:30 PM.

THE Fluvanna County Sheriffs Office IS LOOKING FOR Haven Melina Moses, White, female, AGE 3 years old, HEIGHT 3 feet 00 inches, WEIGHT 30 lbs, WITH Blue EYES AND Straight Blonde HAIR.

THE CHILD IS BELIEVED TO BE IN EXTREME DANGER AND WAS LAST SEEN AT 5128 West River Road, Scottsville, VA.

THE CHILD IS LIKELY ABDUCTED BY James Arnold Moses, 3rd, White, male, AGE 25 years old, HEIGHT 5 feet 04 inches, WEIGHT 130 lbs, WITH Brown EYES AND Straight Black HAIR.

THEY MAY BE TRAVELING IN A Unk Light Honda Sedan, LICENSE Unk, State Unk, Augusta County / Rockingham County Area.

FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police and The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Amber Alert for Haven Moses, age 3. Haven was last seen Friday evening at a caretaker’s home in Fluvanna County near Scottsville.

Haven’s biological father, James Arnold Moses, age 25 from Lyndhurst, came to the residence and took Haven from the dwelling in violation of a protective order.

James Moses was driving a light-colored sedan, possibly a Honda, at the time. James Moses may also be driving a brown Ford Explorer with Virginia registration of VKS-6171.

Haven Moses is considered a missing endangered juvenile and all efforts are being done to locate her as quickly as possible. Warrants have been obtained against James Moses for abduction and violation of a protective order. James may be in the Augusta/Rockingham area or perhaps in West Virginia.

If anyone sees James Moses or Haven Moses, please call your local law enforcement agency immediately to report the sighting. If they are in a vehicle, please try to obtain the license plate number and as much information as possible. If anyone has knowledge about the possible whereabouts of James Moses, Haven Moses, or any information related to this case, please call the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office at 434-589-8211.
