RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a male was shot in Richmond Friday morning.
Police tell 8News that officers were called to the 400 block of North First Street for the report of a shooting around 11:25 a.m. Officers arrived and found a male lying in the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.
He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
Authorities say the shooting stemmed from an altercation, though at this point, a motive has not yet been determined.
Detectives are investigating. The suspect is still on the run.
