RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond crews responded to a fire at a home in the Fan District on Friday morning.
Fire officials say the occupants of the home smelled smoke and called 9-1-1. Fire units arrived on scene at 8:55 a.m., found smoke on the second floor and flames in the attic. The fire was contained in the attic area and didn’t spread elsewhere.
The blaze was marked as a two-alarm fire based on the size of the structure and how tricky it was for crews to reach the fire.
Two adults and two dogs were displaced due to the fire, though they are not seeking assistance from the Red Cross.
No one was injured.
