RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Here’s a look at what’s new at the box office.
Po, the Kung Fu Panda is back for round three. The bear, voiced by Jack Black, discovers his long-lost father is still alive. The two take a journey to a mysterious mountain where more of Po’s family can be found. He then has to train them in the ways of kung fu. Costarring the voices of Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan and Bryan Cranston, the computer animated adventure is rated “PG.”
“Fifty Shades of Black” is not a sequel to “Fifty Shades of Grey” but a parody of the erotic thriller. From the filmmakers behind “Scary Movie” and “A Haunted house, its pretty much the same plot as “Grey” but with lots of naughty sight gags thrown in there. It stars Marlon Wayans, Mike Epps and Jane Seymour. It’s rated “R.”
“The Finest Hours” is the true story of an incredible sea rescue off the coast of New England back in 1952. Four members of a coast guard team risked life and limb to reach a sinking oil tanker in the middle of a storm. The movie stars Chris Pine, Casey Affleck and Eric Bana, its rated pg-13.
“Jane Got a Gun” stars Natalie Portman as a frontier woman who has to defend her home and family against outlaws. Set in 1871, She turns to a former lover, played by Joel Edgerton, to teach her how to shoot. The film costars Ewan Mcgregor and Noah Emmerich. The drama is rated “R.”
