Chesterfield family offers up to $10K reward for info leading to arrest, conviction in 2010 cold case

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County detectives are still working to solve a 2010 homicide, and they are hoping a new development will help in that effort.

Police say that on Friday, November 12, 2010, officers responded to a call for shots fired in the area of Bridget Court around 11:40 p.m. Soon after arriving, officers found James Patrick Mosley in the parking lot of his townhouse. Mosley had been shot several times.

Witnesses described seeing a black male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt in the area at the time of the shooting, as well as a dark-colored vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed.

Family members of James Patrick Mosley are offering an additional reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his murder.
