RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Detectives are trying to identify a man responsible for robbing a woman late Sunday afternoon.

At around 5:30 p.m., the man was captured on video at a nearby 7-Eleven, behaving very suspiciously. A few minutes later, he approached a woman in the 1300 block of West Main Street. He said that he had a gun, even though he didn’t show it, and told her to give him her purse. After stealing her purse, he fled on a black bicycle with the word “Trek” on the side. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.

Police described the man as being around 5 foot 9 or 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call Third Precinct Detective Jack Larry at (804) 646-1647 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers.
