Everyone already knew Channing Tatum could dance. But on Thursday night, he blew minds.
The “21 Jump Street” star performed Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” on Spike TV’s “Lip Sync Battle” while sporting a blonde wig, makeup (with some expert level contouring) and a replica of Beyonce’s outfit from the music video. He was joined by backup dancers and Tatum nailed the choreography.
Tatum competed against his wife, actress Jenna Dewan Tatum, who along with the show’s host, rapper LL Cool J, watched in awe as the actor served up some diva fierceness. watched in awe as Channing served up some diva fierceness. The show’s DJ, model Chrissy Teigen, appeared to be equally tickled by the performance.
Tatum also performed “Let It Go” from “Frozen” in full Queen Elsa costume. But he saved the best for last.
At the end of Tatum’s performance, Queen B herself, a.k.a. Beyonce, took the stage to help him finish strong with the dance. Channing (and everyone watching) bowed to her. His wife fell out as the audience roared.
Tatum knew he had slayed and took to Twitter after the airing of his performance to simply say “Mic drooooppppped.”
