PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — When Hasbro released a Star Wars-themed Monopoly in September, it was missing one key figure and a little girl let the Rhode Island-based toy company know about it.

The game included Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and new characters Finn and Kylo Ren as game pawns. However, it was missing Rey, the female protagonist of Star Wars: The Force Awakens – which did not sit well with many fans, including 8-year-old Annie Rose.

Hasbro heard the comments and announced this week it will be adding Rey to the game.

In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, the toymaker said “The Star Wars: Monopoly game was released in September, months before the movie’s release, and Rey was not included to avoid revealing a key plot line that she takes on Kylo Ren and joins the Rebel Alliance.”
