RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One person suffered non-life threatening injuries following a single-vehicle accident on I-95 South in the City of Richmond Tuesday night.
The wreck occurred at 7:20 p.m. at mile marker 79.5. Virginia State Police say a witness reported that a U-Haul carrying a trailer was driving reckless before hit a barrier wall and overturned.
An official with Richmond Fire said the female driver was briefly trapped under the U-Haul. She was eventually extricated and transported to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries.
Virginia State Police tell 8News that possible reckless driving charges are pending.
Motorists should expect delays as the center and right lanes and right shoulder remain closed.
