Police seek suspect after teen found shot in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police are investigating after a teenager was shot in the city’s northside Monday afternoon.

Police say they responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of Northside Avenue at around 4:45 p.m. When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old black male who had been shot.  He was transported to VCU Medical Center where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Police do not have a suspect in custody. Authorities tell us that detectives have made progress in their investigation.
