Volunteers team up with local police to collect bikes, helmets for kids

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The giving continued at HY-TECH Property Services this weekend.

The business has teamed up with Chesterfield Police and the Amelia Sheriff’s Office to collect bikes and helmets for kids.

Volunteers built more than 125 bikes Saturday.

“I’ve been fortunate, my kids have been fortunate,” volunteer Max Morehead told 8News. “I just appreciate the chance to give back and Marc and HY-TECH have provided that.”

You still have time to donate. They’re hoping to get about 325 bikes.

You can drop off your donation at HY-TECH Property’s office at 3939 Hendricks Rd, Midlothian, Va. Click here for more information about the cause.
