RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A coastal weather system will be moving up from the Carolinas today and this will make for a split in the forecast over the area.
We will be looking at increasing clouds this morning for just about all of central Virginia, however along and east of I-95 showers will develop by mid to late morning and continue throughout the day. The steadiest of the rain will be from Emporia to Wakefield and out to the Hampton Roads. This area of rain will move out to the east by this evening and our clouds will clear after midnight.
Tuesday will be a seasonable day with sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s.
We will warm up to near 60 for Wednesday and then into the 60s for Thursday and Friday with sunny to mostly sunny skies.
Saturday will be a warm day with partly sunny skies and highs around 70.
Rain could develop by Sunday as our next system comes our way.
