RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Get ready to sweat for a good cause. The second annual RVA Fitness Give kicks off next week. This year twenty local studios are participating.
Tressy Coats, who has worked out regularly for about three years, cannot wait to take part in the fundraiser. 8News caught up with her at Turn Cardio Jam Studio where she was trying out a new class and loving it.
Says Coats, “It’s always fun meeting new people, getting involved in the Richmond community and just working out at the same time.”
That is the spirit of the RVA Fitness Give. Two dollars from every class fee at participating studios will go to Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond.
Last year the event raised more than $3,000. Participating studios hope to top that donation this time.
“A lot are really excited about the event so we’re doing special classes, adding some new classes into it where people can preview,” explains Seo Kelleher, partner at Turn Cardio Jam Studio.
Adds Greenwood, “Take time for yourself, go sweat a little bit and donate to a good cause in the process.”
The RVA Fitness Give is December 11, 12 and 13. Follow this link for studios and class schedules.
