RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — FINALLY, sunshine is going to make a return to the area as a cold front sweeps off to the east and out of the way.
That chases the last of the rainfall out of here and allows for skies to clear up overnight. Lows will fall into the mid to upper 40s.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all going to be sunny. Highs will be in the 50s and lows in the lower 30s. That is a short and sweet forecast. One caveat—it will be rather breezy on Thursday in the area.
Next week we will see the return of clouds on Monday afternoon as highs warm back into the upper 50s to near 60s.
For the middle of next week, the three long range computer models are all trying to develop a rather nasty looking coastal storm today (who knows what they will look like tomorrow). IF this setup is correct, we would see the return of rain for Tuesday and Wednesday and it should be rather breezy along the coastline. Highs will be 55-60, so no concerns on what type of precipitation will happen. If we were 25-30, then it would be a really tantalizing situation. Again, there are a lot of inconsistencies in the model runs, so let’s not bank on this system happening until we get closer to the weekend.
