Police: Teen arrested after going into unlocked vehicles, stealing property

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A teen was arrested after police say he was going through unlocked vehicles and stealing property.

Henrico Police responded to the area of Oronoco and Delmont on December 1 at 3:37 a.m. after receiving a report about a group of black males going through yards.

Officers located the group and they fled on foot. Authorities caught and detained 18-year-old Trayrell Lamont Tolliver and a juvenile male. Police say they were looking into unlocked cars and taking things.

Tolliver was charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property, grand larceny, auto tampering and contributing. The juvenile was referred to intake for auto tampering, obstruction of justice and curfew violation.
