RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Happy Thanksgiving! Turkey day travel weather is A-Okay here in central Virginia, as well as up and down the eastern seaboard.
Perfect weather for Thanksgiving! We have sunny skies, light winds, and a high of 65. Sounds perfect for enjoying some time outdoors with the family and maybe throwing the pigskin around a bit before dinner. Tonight will be mainly clear with a low of 42. If you plan on getting up early to catch those Black Friday deals, you may even want to ditch the jacket unless you plan on standing outside in a line.
We’ll warm up quickly and see mostly sunny skies and highs near 70 degrees in the afternoon.
Saturday features increasing clouds and highs in the middle 60s.
Sunday brings a few showers and highs in the middle 50s. The beginning of next week looks wet.
We’ll see scattered showers Monday and Tuesday, and some signs even point to stretching the wet weather into mid-week as well (I’ll keep it out of the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday for now).
