VCU’s Wade ‘not happy’ while Spiders are off to Las Vegas

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — VCU lost two close games to two good teams in Madison Square Garden, but first-year head coach Will Wade said that doesn’t mean anything.

“I’m not happy,” Wade said, citing a lack of defensive effort. “I’m not here to pump sunshine about — well we played well. That’s for the birds, man.”

Meanwhile, Richmond is very happy to have won three-straight games against Bethune-Cookman, Wake Forest, and Stetson, and the Spiders will play West Virginia in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Day.
