RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — It’s the busiest travel day of the year and if you are planning on traveling, whether by road, by air or by rail, the weather will not be an issue for just about anywhere in the United States.
Here across central Virginia and the Mid Atlantic we will see sunny skies throughout the day and it will be seasonable with highs in the upper 50s. Clear skies will be expected tonight and it will be chilly with lows in the upper 30s.
The weather for Thanksgiving will be very nice with sunny skies and highs approaching 65.
More sunshine will be around for Friday and it will be warm with highs near 70.
A weak cold front will drift south during Saturday giving us partly sunny skies and bringing a return of cooler air as we only top out in the lower 60s.
That front will lay near the Commonwealth on Sunday giving us more clouds and the chance of showers with highs in the lower 50s.
Monday will feature mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures with highs only in the middle 50s.
More rain is expected for Tuesday as that cold front finally begins to move through the region.
