RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After Thanksgiving dinner donations meant for those in need were stolen from the Fairfield Community Association, there’s some good news to share!
Several communities stepped in and donated 41 turkeys to the association. The birds were delivered on Sunday afternoon, along with every fixing needed to make a complete Thanksgiving feast.
Thieves broke into the upstairs window of the Fairfield Community Association and stole 12 of 13 turkeys, along with all the trimmings.
“I think that’s a shame when all they had to do was knock on the door and say they didn’t have a turkey or tell us what they need… because a whole lot came with stuffing and taters and giving to people that need,” said Deborah Turner, Vice Secretary of the Fairfield Tenant Council Office.
Still, no arrests have been made in the case. If you know anything about the break-in, please contact Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
