(WRIC) — Starwood is warning the public of a data breach at 54 of its hotels, including some Sheraton, Westin and W locations.
The malware was found on payment systems at hotel restaurants, gift shops and other retail areas and may have been there since November 2014. The malware exposed names, credit card numbers, security codes and expiration dates.
Front desk payment systems were not impacted. Most of the affected hotels are in the United States, including the Westin and W locations in Boston, Los Angeles and New York. Starwood posted a complete list online.
