RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC/WOOD) — First it was rides, then kitten cuddle sessions. Now Uber is pitching in to help prevent the spread of flu.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, UberHEALTH will be making stops throughout Richmond, dropping off “wellness packs” and a nurse who can provide flu shots. Each wellness pack costs $10 and includes hand sanitizer, a water bottle, tissues and more.
To line up a visit with UberHEALTH, open your Uber app between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, select “UberHEALTH,” fill out your location and click “request.”
Uber expects its UberHEALTH service will be in high demand, so you will likely have a wait time.
Three dozen cities are participating in the UberHEALTH program.
