Weapons missing following Worcester armory break-in

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — An FBI spokeswoman says some weapons have disappeared following a break-in the Lincoln Army Reserve Center in Worcester.

Kristen Setera said that Boston FBI was made aware of the break-in at the Lake Avenue federal facility on Sunday. It is unknown when the incident occurred or how many weapons have been stolen.

The break-in was first made public during a press conference Sunday with Gov. Charlie Baker. Setera said there is no indication the break-in is connected to terrorism.

She said that “every effort will be made to recover these weapons immediately.”

The missing weapons have been entered into the National Crime Information Center, an online database searchable by law enforcement.

The Massachusetts State Police and Worcester Police are assisting in the investigation.
