Police: Man with weapon steals cash from Chesterfield Raceway

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Chesterfield gas station on Sunday, November 8.

Police said the Raceway at 5600 Jefferson Davis Highway was not yet open at 6:15 a.m. when an employee saw a man outside seeking assistance. When the employee acknowledged the man, he displayed a weapon, threatened the employee and forced his way into the business. Once inside, the suspect took cash. Police said the suspect then fled the store in the direction of the Food Lion at 5702 Jefferson Davis Highway.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 30 to 40-years-old and 6 feet tall with an average build. He had a black patchy beard and was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and gray camouflage pants.
