HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County police need the public’s help in identifying two people suspected of robbing an elderly woman.
According to police, the incident happened in the parking lot of a business located in the 10100 block of Brook Road on Wednesday at 4:41 p.m.
The elderly woman says she was loading groceries into her vehicle, when someone approached her from behind, ordered her to bend down, then took the victim’s purse from her vehicle.
The elderly woman was not injured, but just a while after that incident was reported, police believe two suspects used the woman’s credit card at a nearby store. The two suspects were captured on surveillance video at another store in the 11200 block of West Broad Street. Police believe they used the victim’s credit card to purchase electronics.
The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 9 to 6 feet tall, weighing anywhere from 160 to 175 pounds. The man is pictured in the surveillance video wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a camouflage baseball cap.
The second suspect is a white woman who was wearing blue pants and a white shirt. Police believe she’s between 35 and 40-years-old. According to police, the female subject had a distinctive walk and used a motorized cart while she was in the business where the stolen credit card was used.
Police believe the suspects were also driving in a silver two door Honda Accord that had a sunroof.
