RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Clouds and showers will be with us today as a weather system continues to lift north.
The good news is that temperatures will be much warmer today when compared to yesterday’s high of only 55 degrees. We should hit a high of 73 today as the winds turn to the south pushing in the warmer air. There is a chance of a few rumbles of thunder this afternoon and evening but severe weather is not really expected for Central Virginia. Any showers will come to an end by midnight with skies remaining mostly cloudy until tomorrow morning. Lows will drop back into the lower to middle 60s, so it will be mild.
Thursday will be a very nice day with skies becoming partly sunny and highs in the middle 70s. Cooler air will filter in later Thursday night as our winds shift to the northwest and then north.
Friday will be a sunny day but it will be much cooler with highs in the lower 60s.
More sunshine expect for Saturday with highs in the middle 60s, which is a very nice day for Halloween. The weather could not be better for Saturday evening, as we will see mainly clear skies with temperatures in the upper 50s, so have fun Trick or Treating!
Clouds will increase on Sunday and there could be a spotty shower or two in the afternoon. Highs will top out in the upper 60s to near 70.
More rain is likely for Monday with highs around 70.
