Police arrest suspect in Floyd Ave. package theft

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police have made an arrest in connection to a Floyd Avenue package theft that happened on October 27. Investigators say Derrick Traylor was arrested on October 28 after confessing to police.

At 12:55 p.m., police say Traylor walking in the 2500 block of Floyd Avenue when he spots an unattended package on a porch. The suspect walks up the steps, covers the package with his jacket and walks away. Investigators are looking into whether the suspect is linked to other incidents of package theft in the area.
