RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — We’ve been fortunate to be enjoying such a long streak of pleasant weather here in central Virginia and it looks to continue as we round out the work week and head into the weekend.
A broad area of high pressure has been responsible for the beautiful conditions and with it parked offshore we will see a warming trend continue through tomorrow. Today, look for mostly sunny skies and temperatures very comfortable in the middle 70s.
Thursday will bring the warmest temperatures of the week with highs around 80. A cold front will roll through late in the day without much fanfare other than a few clouds.
As a result, temperatures will fall into Friday with highs back into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, cool, yet comfortable with highs in the 60s and 70s ahead of another cold front that will bring the risk for showers late Sunday through Monday as well as a shot of colder air which will settle in early next week.
