RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — All of Central Virginia, including the Metro Richmond area, will be under a freeze warning Monday morning as the region gets its coldest blast since last winter.
The freeze warning is in effect from midnight tonight until 9 a.m. Monday.
Temperatures could dip as low as the upper 20s, and are expected to be below freezing in all areas early Monday morning. That’s the coldest we have been since last March.
The National Weather Service says that vegetation sensitive to freezing temperatures will be damaged or killed. You may want to think about your plants and sensitive vegetation by either covering up what you can, or bringing it inside.
