Chilly Sunday night in RVA; may need a jacket heading out Monday morning

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Tonight stays clear and will turn chilly, with a low of 49 in Richmond. Many of us will end up in the mid 40s, possibly even a few low 40s in more rural locations. Winds are light and variable.

You’ll definitely want the jacket heading in tomorrow, but we have quite a warm afternoon in store, especially by October’s standards—topping out at 76.

Tuesday clouds build and we’ll see showers developing ahead of our next cold front. Light showers will be with us from late morning/early afternoon into the evening. Not much rain is expected at this time. Tuesday’s high will be 74.

Wednesday and beyond look sunny! We’ll see low 70s on Wednesday and Thursday, and mid 70s by Friday. Another cold front looks like it will pass by us dry, but drop temperatures drastically. Next weekend will be feeling a lot more like pumpkin patch weather, with highs in the 60s.
