PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth mother was arrested after she allegedly forced her child to fight another child.
Police say on Friday around 9 a.m. 27-year-old Jeneve Marshall brought her child to James Hurst Elementary School and walked the child upstairs to a classroom.

As Marshall attempted to grab the child, she assaulted three other children who were in her way, said police.
The children who were involved in the incident suffered minor injuries.
Marshall was charged with four counts of assault and battery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disorderly conduct.
