Case continued for man charged in deadly Grove Avenue crash

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The man blamed for a high speed crash on Richmond’s Grove Avenue that killed an award winning author was continued Wednesday morning.

Robert Gentil was supposed to be in court Wednesday morning, but his hearing was continued for Thursday at 3 p.m.

Police say Gentil was driving 100 miles per hour when he collided with Elizabeth Pryor’s vehicle back in April.

Gentil’s attorney says his client is mentally ill and was manic at the time.
