Camp teaches parents how Chesterfield students use Chromebooks

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — Middle and high schools students in Chesterfield are in the midst of Chromebook distribution.

“With this mobile device, Chesterfield County Public Schools will provide relevant, 21st-century tools that allow students to access information needed for learning anytime, anywhere,” Chesterfield County Public Schools says.

Now it’s time for parents to learn more about how the mobile devices will be used in class, the applications that will be accessed and the secure learning environment that we’ve created.

Parents who want to learn more about the mobile devices work can join Table Talk Presents: Camp Chromebook for Parents from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates:

• Sept. 29 at Cosby High, 14300 Fox Club Parkway, Midlothian, VA 23112
• Oct. 1 at the Thomas Dale High West Campus, 3900 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831
• Oct. 6 at Monacan High, 11501 Smoketree Drive, North Chesterfield, VA 23236

Each Camp Chromebook for Parents starts off with free pizza, thanks to a title sponsorship from the Chesterfield Federal Credit Union.
