RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — An area of rain moving across North Carolina will slide into central Virginia this morning and bring us a chance of showers through noon today.
After that we will have mainly cloudy skies with a few breaks of sun in the later part of the afternoon. It will be a very warm and humid day with highs in the middle 80s. It will be muggy tonight under partly cloudy skies with lows near 70.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s. By Friday a weak cold front will swing through the region, so we will start off the day with partly sunny skies but by the afternoon we could have some showers and thunderstorms developing.
Highs on Friday will to out near 90. Behind that cold front we will cool down for the upcoming weekend with highs from 80 to 85 under partly sunny skies for both Saturday and Sunday.
Right now, Labor Day Monday looks good with highs in the middle 80s under partly sunny skies.
