RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — If your child hasn’t gotten their immunizations or physicals for back-to-school, now is the time.
Richmond Public Schools is making a big push for kids to have all their shots by the first day of school; otherwise, they might have to miss class until they get them.
To help make the process easier, a new online system called CareDox lets Richmond parents upload their child’s medical information and it goes straight to the school.
“Parents can go to their physician’s office and they can upload their comprehensive physical examinations as well as medical conditions such as allergies, asthma,” said Charlene Rodgers, Richmond Public Schools coordinator of nursing services.
Parents also have the option to do it online at home, as long as they have all the necessary records.
