Meadowbrook football puts past behind it

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Meadowbrook football is moving forward under new Head Coach Adam Tiller.

Tiller is the second new head coach to be introduced in 2015. After the season, Troy Taylor left the school and eventually took a job on Mark James’s staff at Virginia Union. Meadowbrook hired alumnus Kedrick Moody, who took Armstrong to new heights in 2014, but Moody was arrested for a violent incident in March before he could officially start.

Tiller was a candidate for the job when Moody got it, and when it came open again, he got it. It’s not his first head coaching gig. Tiller coached at Amelia for three years. Prior to that, he was an offensive coordinator at Clover Hill for seven seasons.

“We addressed it day one, but after that we just moved forward,” Tiller sAId. “I really have no clue about what happened before me. I’m just there to coach now and be myself and let my coaches coach.”

Adam Tiller and the Monarchs will be tested early; game one on August 28th is three-time defending state champion L.C. Bird.
