Police identify 2 men found dead; homicide investigation underway

HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating a double homicide in Henrico after two men were found dead late Monday night.

Police were called to the Colonial Apartments in the 5500 block of Pony Farm Drive, just before 11:45 p.m. Monday for a medical emergency. Upon arrival, officers found two adult males deceased with “obvious signs of trauma to their upper body.”

Police identified the victims as 33-year-old Titus T. Howard of the 2500 block of Phuap Street, and 25-year-old Larnell A. Logan Jr. of the 3200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue.

Family at the scene spoke with 8News reporter Sydney Cameron. Daiquan Johnson says his cousin, Larnell Logan Jr., was found dead inside his friend’s apartment along with his friend, Titus.

Johnson said Larnell went to his friend’s house last night and said he would be right back, but never came home. Johnson also said another of Larnell’s friends came to the apartment and found the victims. Larnell was a frequent visitor at Titus’ apartment and says the family is having a hard time trying to understand why this happened.

According to Johnson, Larnell was very quiet, kept to himself and has a three-year-old daughter.

Police ask that anyone who has any information regarding this situation to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
