HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Police arrested a man after a strange incident on Wednesday in Henrico.

54-year-old Anthony McKinney was arrested after officers responded to the 200 block of North Laburnum Avenue to investigate a reported residential burglary. Authorities arrived on-scene and spoke with a caller who said that his home had been broken into. Officers noticed that the front door had apparently been kicked in. The citizen advised that nothing had been stolen.

While officers were on-scene, a second call for service was dispatched in the general area for a suspicious situation, which led officers to a different residence within the same complex. When officers got to that home, they came into contact with McKinney and a female citizen.

The female citizen told police that McKinney had kicked open her door while armed with a knife and brought her back to a different residence in the same complex.  Police say this was done against her will. McKinney has been charged with abduction, burglary, assault, trespassing, and misidentifying himself to officers.
