Great 8 Happenings: Back to school events, NFL competition for kids, and so much more

(McGuire VA Medical Center, NFL, Richmond City Health District)

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — This weekend RVA will host multiple events geared around the kids. There will be a back to school event that will supply vaccinations and free physicals for kids and another event that will have gently used clothes for sale so the kids can be stylish this school year.

If you’re looking for something fun for the kids to enjoy, you should register your child for NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition. This event hosted by the NFL invites kids ages 6- 15 to compete in a football challenge that could send them to a NFL playoff game in January. This event allows kids to successfully throw 1 pass, kick 1 punt, and 1 placekick. The first place winners in each age bracket will advance to the sectional competition held in October or early November. Competing in the sectional competition gives children a possibility in advancing to the national finals in January. Pre-registration is recommended for this event.
