RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — They’re back for a repeat – Romp n’ Roll grabs top honors again as Richmond’s Best Mommy and Me Class.
It’s a place where the six and under crowd rule the room and their moms and dads can’t wait to let them lead the way.
On a typical night at Romp n’ Roll, toddlers get a taste of gym art and music
“It’s good for her to develop new stuff,” said Matt Alontro, parent.
Co-founder and President Babz Barnett says that Romp n’ Roll is a place where children learn best through play — at a very early age.
“When we see them and we see them this early,” Barnett said. “They can come in as young as three-months-old.”
And, parents benefit too.
“The parent has socialization of other parents with children the same age because your best friends don’t always have babies the same time the same as you do,” said Barnett.
Through teacher-developed lesson plans, the worlds of education and fun collide and children are able to unleash their energy, and their imagination while practicing important life skills.
It’s a good place to share things and an even better place to make memories.
“I see the milestones reached and those milestones reached sooner than they would have because children have the opportunity to walk a little sooner or to climb and strengthen their muscles through play,” said Barnett. “I am really just humbled and blessed that we have been considered the Best Mommy and Me Class in Richmond.
“I’m just super excited about it.”
It’s that time of year again when we team up with Richmond Magazine to feature some of the people, places and businesses that you voted “The Best of Richmond.”
