RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Afternoon sunshine really juiced up the atmosphere and round two of rain and storms was quite strong!
We had severe thunderstorm warnings and even a tornado warning. Numerous trees and some power lines were reported down across the area. Skies cleared out overnight and today we’re in for a day of full sun! Due to the heavy rain overnight, we are starting with a few areas of fog, but that will lift soon after sunrise. Today, expect sunny and dry skies with less humidity and a high of 87. Tonight will be clear and comfortable with a low of 64.
Sunshine is back tomorrow with mid 80s.
Friday will be sunny for much of Central Virginia, but clouds build to our southeast. Highs are in the upper 80s.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s.
Sunday looks partly cloudy, but dry. A slight warm up is in the works as we head into next week with highs expected to be in the lower 90s.
