A cold front will move through the area later tonight and take the showers and thunderstorms out of the region with it. Overnight skies will turn mostly clear with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. Wednesday will be a mostly sunny day with lower humidity. Highs will still be in the mid to upper 80s, but it should feel comfortable over the area. Wednesday night, which will be the peak of the Persied meteor showers will be clear and comfortable with overnight lows in the mid 60s. We will be helped out by the fact that there is a new moon (it’s up during the day) to keep things darker out there. By the most of the meteorites that you see are about the size of a grape nut in Grape Nuts cereal.
Thursday through most of the weekend will be sunny. Highs will be in the mid 80s on Thursday and Friday. Over the weekend we will climb back into the upper 80s. A weak boundary may approach on Sunday which could mean a few more clouds. Heat will return early next week as what will be a very large area of warm temperatures over the plains this weekend moves to the east.
