Smoke seen for miles from massive N.J. warehouse fire

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WRIC/WABC) — A raging warehouse fire in North Brunswick, New Jersey early Wednesday morning is created a major impact on highway traffic and prompting some local evacuations.

The four-alarm fire broke out just after 2:30 a.m. inside the DCH Collision Center, a warehouse full of cars, according to 8News affiliate WABC. The complex is used by Toyota for vehicle repairs and storage.

Heavy flames and smoke could be seen coming from the building’s roof for hours this morning.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Residents of the nearby Birchwood Apartments condo complex were evacuated as a precaution.
