COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — Police have arrested a man for a string of residential burglaries and thefts from vehicles in Colonial Heights.
Between July 7 and July 10, police say there were five residential burglaries and six thefts from vehicles reported in Colonial Heights. Over $10,000 in property was stolen, including several firearms.
Forensic evidence left at one of the crime scenes led investigators to identify the suspect as 23-year-old Stephen L. Adams Jr., a resident of Blackstone. Adams was arrested on July 12 and has been charged with burglary, grand larceny and grand larceny with the intent to sell.
Adams was transported to Riverside Regional Jail where he is currently being held without bond. Additional charges are pending and will be placed upon the completion of the investigation.
