Henrico Co. (WRIC) – A Woodford, Virginia man died early Saturday morning after the vehicle he was driving ran off the road and struck a tree. The crash occurred at approximately 1:08 a.m. on Interstate 295 southbound at exit 45 (Woodman Road) in Henrico County.
The troopers investigation revealed that a 2004 Pontiac Vibe was traveling south on Interstate 295 when the vehicle was exiting the ramp, ran off the road to the left and struck a tree.
The driver of the 2004 Pontiac Billy M. Coleman, 55, of Woodford, Va., was transported to MCV hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Two juvenile passengers in the car were transported to MCV with non-life threatening injuries; all were wearing seatbelts.
Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
