Emporia NAACP to hold vigil for victims of Emanuel AME Church shooting

EMPORIA, Va. (WRIC) — This weekend, the Emporia branch of the NAACP is holding a vigil for the 9 victims killed in a shooting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C.

It’s planned for Sunday at 4 p.m. at Veterans Park.

Organizers say everyone is welcome and the service is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.
